INVITATION
INITIAL INFORMATION

On behalf of the Minister of the National Defence of the Republic of Poland, we would like to invite you to the 2021 Warsaw Cyber Summit – Legal Panel, which will take place as a hybrid event combining both in-person and virtual experiences on May 26 – 27, 2021 at the War Studies University in Warsaw – Rembertów, Poland. Please find attached a tentative agenda of the Conference.

The two-day Conference will be divided into two main panels – theoretical/legal (venue: War Studies University, Warsaw – Rembertów; May 26 – 27, 2021) and practical one – case study (venue: National Cyber Security Centre – NSCS, Legionowo; May 27, 2021).

The 2021 Warsaw Cyber Summit will cover cutting-edge contemporary challenges in the military cyberactivity & military activity in cyberspace and bring together military cyber experts, senior legal advisors, government practitioners and academic experts from the universities, NATO & Partnership for Peace nations as well as governmental and NGO’s entities.

I am pleased to note that we have already received very favorable responses from a variety
of national, regional and international institutions (NATO bodies/commands, also representatives for USA, Canada, Europe – e.g. Denmark, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Turkey, Albania, Georgia, Baltic States, etc.) and I do believe that the Warsaw Cyber Summit will constitute a platform for exchange of best practices among prominent practitioners.

The Academic Center for Cybersecurity Policy is a new think-tank, set up in 2020, by the decision of the Minister of the National Defence to support, coordinate, analyse and monitor cyber legal issues in the governmental, especially military, environment. The Academic Center for Cybersecurity Policy cooperates with private and public institutions in the cyber domain in the Republic of Poland.

National Cyber Security Centre is a highly specialized and elite military unit, responsible for key areas related to IT, cryptology and cyber security. NCSC was created in the Ministry of National Defence in 2019, as a comprehensive approach to cyber security issues required a constant cooperation of  ICT and crypto security experts with hardware and software acquisition specialists as well as the assembling and maintenance of military networks and systems.

I sincerely hope that you will be able to attend the Warsaw Cyber Summit in May 2021 and contribute to the valuable discourse. Depends on your possibilities, please notify us on your preferred mode of participation (in-person or virtual).

It is possible to attend the event either as a speaker/moderator or as an engaged listener. If you are interested in participating in / moderating one of the panels, which is in your fields of interest, according to the names & aims of the consecutive subjects in the agenda of the 2021 Warsaw Cyber Summit: day 1 / 2, please let us know the tittle and duration of your appearance.

Active participation (speech / discussion panel) should be given from the venue – War Studies University, Warsaw – Rembertów, if possible.
