The International Society of Military Sciences is cooperative effort by eight military academies in Austria, the Baltic States, Canada, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. The International Society of Military Sciences provides a platform for the exchange and diffusion of research and knowledge about war, conflict management and peace support efforts.

The first annual International Society of Military Sciences-conference will take place in Amsterdam on 25 and 26 November 2009. Participation to the conference and the working group activities is open to all interested scholars, not just researchers of Society member institutions. Enclosed, you may find the call for papers.
